The impact of conflict in secondary education.
Conflict disrupts schooling of students, both girls and boys. As well, leads to the absence of teachers, since they escape for their lives. Thus when conflict starts, most schools are closed due to insecurity. This leaves students to stay at home for a long period of time. Students end up dropping out of school. In this period, most girls get pregnant or married and boys get exposed to drug abuse and alcohol consumption, which is not easy to stop.During the conflict, some students are abducted. Abducted girls are raped or become wives to the soldiers or rebels, while abducted boys are trained to become young soldiers, who are still energetic to learn many fighting tactics . This negatively impact the continuation of education for many girls and boy who have been victims of conflict.

You bring up some great examples of the effects of conflict on both boys and girls. It must be difficult to not only encourage students to stay in school when their safety is threatened or when they might be affected by other factors such as alcoholism and early marriage.
